The asterisk (*) and the question mark (?) can be used as wildcards for the search.
The asterisk (*) can replace zero, one, or multiple characters:
For example, it can be used to search for culture, cultures, cultural, etc.
Note: For technical reasons, using an asterisk (*) at the end of a search term may return fewer results when using the swisscovery plus scope.
The asterisk (*) can also be used to find different spellings of a word.
searches for yogurt, yoghurt, yogourt, yoghourt, etc.
The question mark (?) is a wildcard that replaces a single character:
searches for both woman and women.
You can also combine the asterisk (*) and the question mark (?):
You'll get results with yoghurt, yogurt, yoghurts or yogurts.
